กะตะเม จะ ภิกขะเว สังขิตเตนะ ปัญจุปาทานักขันธา ทุกขา. เสยยะถีทัง. รูปูปาทานักขันโธ, เวทะนูปาทานักขันโธ, สัญญูปาทานักขันโธ, สังขารูปาทานักขันโธ, วิญญาณูปาทานักขันโธ. อิเม วุจจันติ ภิกขะเว สังขิตเตนะ ปัญจุปาทานักขันธา ทุกขา, อิทัง วุจจะติ ภิกขะเว ทุกขัง อะริยะสัจจัง.

Katame ca bhikkhave saṅkhittena pañcupādānakkhandhā dukkhā. Seyyathīdaṃ. Rūpupādānakkhandho, vedanupādānakkhandho, saññupādānakkhandho, saṅkhārupādānakkhandho, viññāṇupādānakkhandho. Ime vuccanti bhikkhave saṅkhittena pañcupādānakkhandhā dukkhā, idaṃ vuccati bhikkhave dukkhaṃ ariyasaccaṃ.

And what, monks, are the five aggregates of clinging that are suffering? They are these: the form aggregate of clinging, the feeling aggregate of clinging, the perception aggregate of clinging, the formations aggregate of clinging, the consciousness aggregate of clinging. These, monks, are called the five aggregates of clinging that are suffering. This, monks, is called the noble truth of suffering.

กะตะมัญจะ ภิกขะเว ทุกขะสะมุทะโย อะริยะสัจจัง, ยายัง ตัณหา โปโนพภะวิกา นันทิราคะสะหะคะตา ตัต๎ระตัต๎ราภินันทินี เสยยะถีทัง. กามะตัณหา, ภะวะตัณหา. วิภะวะตัณหา.

Katamañca bhikkhave dukkhasamudayo ariyasaccaṃ, yāyaṃ taṇhā ponobbhavikā nandirāgasahagatā tatratatrābhinandinī seyyathīdaṃ. Kāmataṇhā, bhavataṇhā. Vibhavataṇhā.

And what, monks, is the noble truth of the arising of suffering? It is this craving which leads to renewed becoming, accompanied by delight and lust, delighting now here now there — namely, craving for sensual pleasures, craving for becoming, craving for non-becoming.

สา โข ปะเนสา ภิกขะเว ตัณหา กัตถะ อุปปัชชะมานา อุปปัชชะติ, กัตถะ นิวีสะมานา นิวีสะติ. ยัง โลเก ปิยะรูปัง สาตะรูปัง, เอตเถสา ตัณหา อุปปัชชะมานา อุปปัชชะติ, เอตถะ นิวีสะมานา นิวีสะติ. กิญจะ โลเก ปิยะรูปัง สาตะรูปัง.

Sā kho panesā bhikkhave taṇhā kattha uppajjamānā uppajjati, kattha nivīsamānā nivīsati. Yaṃ loke piyarūpaṃ sātarūpaṃ, etthesā taṇhā uppajjamānā uppajjati, ettha nivīsamānā nivīsati. Kiñca loke piyarūpaṃ sātarūpaṃ.

And where, monks, does this craving arise when it arises, and where does it settle when it settles? Wherever in the world there is what is dear and agreeable, there this craving arises when it arises, and there it settles when it settles. And what in the world is dear and agreeable?

จักขุง โลเก ปิยะรูปัง สาตะรูปัง, เอตเถสา ตัณหา อุปปัชชะมานา อุปปัชชะติ, เอตถะ นิวีสะมานา นิวีสะติ.

Cakkhuṃ loke piyarūpaṃ sātarūpaṃ, etthesā taṇhā uppajjamānā uppajjati, ettha nivīsamānā nivīsati.

The eye in the world is dear and agreeable; there this craving arises when it arises, and there it settles when it settles.

โสตัง โลเก ปิยะรูปัง สาตะรูปัง, เอตเถสา ตัณหา อุปปัชชะมานา อุปปัชชะติ, เอตถะ นิวีสะมานา นิวีสะติ.

Sotaṃ loke piyarūpaṃ sātarūpaṃ, etthesā taṇhā uppajjamānā uppajjati, ettha nivīsamānā nivīsati.

The ear in the world is dear and agreeable; there this craving arises when it arises, and there it settles when it settles.

ฆานัง โลเก ปิยะรูปัง สาตะรูปัง, เอตเถสา ตัณหา อุปปัชชะมานา อุปปัชชะติ, เอตถะ นิวีสะมานา นิวีสะติ.

Ghānaṃ loke piyarūpaṃ sātarūpaṃ, etthesā taṇhā uppajjamānā uppajjati, ettha nivīsamānā nivīsati.

The nose in the world is dear and agreeable; there this craving arises when it arises, and there it settles when it settles.

ชิวหา โลเก ปิยะรูปัง สาตะรูปัง, เอตเถสา ตัณหา อุปปัชชะมานา อุปปัชชะติ, เอตถะ นิวีสะมานา นิวีสะติ.

Jivhā loke piyarūpaṃ sātarūpaṃ, etthesā taṇhā uppajjamānā uppajjati, ettha nivīsamānā nivīsati.

The tongue in the world is dear and agreeable; there this craving arises when it arises, and there it settles when it settles.

กาโย โลเก ปิยะรูปัง สาตะรูปัง, เอตเถสา ตัณหา อุปปัชชะมานา อุปปัชชะติ, เอตถะ นิวีสะมานา นิวีสะติ.

Kāyo loke piyarūpaṃ sātarūpaṃ, etthesā taṇhā uppajjamānā uppajjati, ettha nivīsamānā nivīsati.

The body in the world is dear and agreeable; there this craving arises when it arises, and there it settles when it settles.

มะโน โลเก ปิยะรูปัง สาตะรูปัง, เอตเถสา ตัณหา อุปปัชชะมานา อุปปัชชะติ, เอตถะ นิวีสะมานา นิวีสะติ.

Mano loke piyarūpaṃ sātarūpaṃ, etthesā taṇhā uppajjamānā uppajjati, ettha nivīsamānā nivīsati.

The mind in the world is dear and agreeable; there this craving arises when it arises, and there it settles when it settles.

รูปา โลเก ปิยะรูปัง สาตะรูปัง, เอตเถสา ตัณหา อุปปัชชะมานา อุปปัชชะติ, เอตถะ นิวีสะมานา นิวีสะติ.

Rūpā loke piyarūpaṃ sātarūpaṃ, etthesā taṇhā uppajjamānā uppajjati, ettha nivīsamānā nivīsati.

Forms in the world are dear and agreeable; there this craving arises when it arises, and there it settles when it settles.
