คำบาลีว่า ปัณณะระสี ทิวะโส และคำไทยว่า วันนี้เป็นวันปัณณรสีดิถีที่ 15 นั้น สำหรับวัน 15 ค่ำ ถ้าเป็นวัน 14 ค่ำ ให้เปลี่ยนเป็น จาตุททะสี ทิวะโส และคำไทยว่า วันนี้เป็นวันจาตุททสีดิถีที่ 14 ถ้าเป็นวัน 8 ค่ำ ให้เปลี่ยนเป็น อัฏฐะมี ทิวะโส คำไทยว่า วันนี้เป็นวันอัฏฐมีดิถีที่ 8 The Pali paṇṇarasī divaso, and the Thai "today is the fifteenth lunar day", are for the fifteenth day of the fortnight. On a fourteenth day they are changed to cātuddasī divaso, and the Thai to "today is the fourteenth lunar day". On an eighth day they are changed to aṭṭhamī divaso, and the Thai to "today is the eighth lunar day".

มะยัง ภันเต, ติสะระเณนะ สะหะ, อัฏฐังคะสะมันนาคะตัง อุโปสะถัง ยาจามะ.
mayaṃ bhante, tisaraṇena saha, aṭṭhaṅgasamannāgataṃ uposathaṃ yācāma.
Venerable sir, we ask for the Uposatha endowed with eight factors, together with the Three Refuges.
ทุติยัมปิ มะยัง ภันเต, ติสะระเณนะ สะหะ, อัฏฐังคะสะมันนาคะตัง อุโปสะถัง ยาจามะ.
dutiyampi mayaṃ bhante, tisaraṇena saha, aṭṭhaṅgasamannāgataṃ uposathaṃ yācāma.
