นะ จาปิ มันตะยุทเธนะ สักกา เชตุง ธะเนนะ วา
na cāpi mantayuddhena sakkā jetuṃ dhanena vā
Nor yet by battle of spells, nor by wealth, can they be conquered.
สัทธัง นิเวสะเย: Where Faith Is Placed
ตัส๎มา หิ ปัณฑิโต โปโส สัมปัสสัง อัตถะมัตตะโน.
tasmā hi paṇḍito poso sampassaṃ atthamattano.
Therefore a wise person, seeing what is good for himself,
พุทเธ ธัมเม จะ สังเฆ จะ ธีโร สัทธัง นิเวสะเย
buddhe dhamme ca saṅghe ca dhīro saddhaṃ nivesaye
in the Buddha, the Dhamma and the Saṅgha — let the steadfast one settle his faith.
โย ธัมมะจารี กาเยนะ วาจายะ อุทะ เจตะสา
yo dhammacārī kāyena vācāya uda cetasā
Whoever lives by Dhamma in body, in speech, or in mind,
อิเธวะ นัง ปะสังสันติ เปจจะ สัคเค ปะโมทะติ.
idheva naṃ pasaṃsanti pecca sagge pamodati.
him they praise here in this very life, and hereafter he rejoices in heaven.
ปัพพะโตปะมะคาถา นิฏฐิตา
pabbatopamagāthā niṭṭhitā

อะริยะธะนะ: The Noble Wealth
ยัสสะ สัทธา ตะถาคะเต อะจะลา สุปะติฏฐิตา
yassa saddhā tathāgate acalā supatiṭṭhitā
Whose faith in the Tathāgata is unshaken and well established,
สีลัญจะ ยัสสะ กัล๎ยาณัง อะริยะกันตัง ปะสังสิตัง,
sīlañca yassa kalyāṇaṃ ariyakantaṃ pasaṃsitaṃ,
and whose virtue is good, dear to the noble ones and praised,
สังเฆ ปะสาโท ยัสสัตถิ อุชุภูตัญจะ ทัสสะนัง
saṅghe pasādo yassatthi ujubhūtañca dassanaṃ
who has confidence in the Saṅgha, and whose seeing is upright —
อะทะลิทโทติ ตัง อาหุ อะโมฆันตัสสะ ชีวิตัง.
adaliddoti taṃ āhu amoghantassa jīvitaṃ.
him they call not poor, and his life is not in vain.
อะนุยุญเชถะ: The Exhortation
ตัส๎มา สัทธัญจะ สีลัญจะ ปะสาทัง ธัมมะทัสสะนัง
tasmā saddhañca sīlañca pasādaṃ dhammadassanaṃ
Therefore faith and virtue, confidence and the vision of Dhamma —
อะนุยุญเชถะ เมธาวี สะรัง พุทธานะ สาสะนันติ.
anuyuñjetha medhāvī saraṃ buddhāna sāsananti.
let the wise one pursue them, remembering the teaching of the Buddhas.

อะวิชชาปัจจะยา สังขารา,
avijjāpaccayā saṅkhārā,
With ignorance as condition, formations;
สังขาระปัจจะยา วิญญาณัง,
saṅkhārapaccayā viññāṇaṃ,
with formations as condition, consciousness;
วิญญาณะปัจจะยา นามะรูปัง,
viññāṇapaccayā nāmarūpaṃ,
with consciousness as condition, name-and-form;
นามะรูปะปัจจะยา สะฬายะตะนัง,

ภะวะปัจจะยา ชาติ,
bhavapaccayā jāti,
with becoming as condition, birth;
ชาติปัจจะยา ชะรามะระณัง โสกะปะริเทวะทุกขะโทมะนัสสุปายาสา สัมภะวันติ,
jātipaccayā jarāmaraṇaṃ sokaparidevadukkhadomanassupāyāsā sambhavanti,
with birth as condition, ageing-and-death, sorrow, lamentation, pain, grief and despair come to be.
เอวะเมตัสสะ เกวะลัสสะ ทุกขักขันธัสสะ สะมุทะโย โหติ.
evametassa kevalassa dukkhakkhandhassa samudayo hoti.
Thus is the arising of this entire mass of suffering.
