อุกขิตตะขัคคะมะติหัตถะสุทารุณันตัง ธาวันติโยชะนะปะถังคุลิมาละวันตัง อิทธีภิสังขะตะมะโน ชิตะวา มุนินโท ตันเตชะสา ภะวะตุ เต ชะยะมังคะลานิ.
ukkhittakhaggamatihatthasudāruṇantaṃ dhāvantiyojanapathaṅgulimālavantaṃ iddhībhisaṅkhatamano jitavā munindo tantejasā bhavatu te jayamaṅgalāni.
Sword raised in his skilled and terrible hand, Aṅgulimāla ran three leagues in pursuit — the Lord of Sages conquered him with a mind of psychic power; by that power may victory and blessing be yours.
กัต๎วานะ กัฏฐะมุทะรัง อิวะ คัพภินียา จิญจายะ ทุฏฐะวะจะนัง ชะนะกายะมัชเฌ สันเตนะ โสมะวิธินา ชิตะวา มุนินโท ตันเตชะสา ภะวะตุ เต ชะยะมังคะลานิ.
katvāna kaṭṭhamudaraṃ iva gabbhinīyā ciñcāya duṭṭhavacanaṃ janakāyamajjhe santena somavidhinā jitavā munindo tantejasā bhavatu te jayamaṅgalāni.
Having tied a block of wood to her belly as though with child, Ciñcā spoke her slander in the midst of the crowd — the Lord of Sages conquered her by the peaceful and gentle way; by that power may victory and blessing be yours.
สัจจัง วิหายะ มะติสัจจะกะวาทะเกตุง วาทาภิโรปิตะมะนัง อะติอันธะภูตัง ปัญญาปะทีปะชะลิโต ชิตะวา มุนินโท ตันเตชะสา ภะวะตุ เต ชะยะมังคะลานิ.
saccaṃ vihāya matisaccakavādaketuṃ vādābhiropitamanaṃ atiandhabhūtaṃ paññāpadīpajalito jitavā munindo tantejasā bhavatu te jayamaṅgalāni.
Abandoning truth, Saccaka raised his banner of debate, his mind set on argument and utterly blind — the Lord of Sages conquered him, ablaze with the lamp of wisdom; by that power may victory and blessing be yours.
นันโทปะนันทะภุชะคัง วิพุธัง มะหิทธิง ปุตเตนะ เถระภุชะเคนะ ทะมาปะยันโต อิทธูปะเทสะวิธินา ชิตะวา มุนินโท ตันเตชะสา ภะวะตุ เต ชะยะมังคะลานิ.
nandopanandabhujagaṃ vibudhaṃ mahiddhiṃ puttena therabhujagena damāpayanto iddhūpadesavidhinā jitavā munindo tantejasā bhavatu te jayamaṅgalāni.
The nāga Nandopananda, learned and of great power — the Lord of Sages had him tamed by his son, the elder who took a nāga's form, by the way of instruction in psychic power; by that power may victory and blessing be yours.
ทุคคาหะทิฏฐิภุชะเคนะ สุทัฏฐะหัตถัง พ๎รัห๎มัง วิสุทธิชุติมิทธิพะกาภิธานัง ญาณาคะเทนะ วิธินา ชิตะวา มุนินโท ตันเตชะสา ภะวะตุ เต ชะยะมังคะลานิ.
duggāhadiṭṭhibhujagena sudaṭṭhahatthaṃ brahmaṃ visuddhijutimiddhibakābhidhānaṃ ñāṇāgadena vidhinā jitavā munindo tantejasā bhavatu te jayamaṅgalāni.
The Brahmā named Baka, of pure radiance and power, his hand bitten deep by the serpent of wrong view — the Lord of Sages conquered him with the medicine of knowledge; by that power may victory and blessing be yours.
เอตาปิ พุทธะชะยะมังคะละอัฏฐะคาถา โย วาจะโน ทินะทิเน สะระเต มะตันที หิต๎วานะเนกะวิวิธานิ จุปัททะวานิ โมกขัง สุขัง อะธิคะเมยยะ นะโร สะปัญโญ.
etāpi buddhajayamaṅgalaaṭṭhagāthā yo vācano dinadine sarate matandī hitvānanekavividhāni cupaddavāni mokkhaṃ sukhaṃ adhigameyya naro sapañño.
These eight verses of the Buddha's victory and blessing — whoever recites and recalls them day by day without slackness, that wise person, leaving behind manifold misfortunes, may attain release and happiness.
