ปุนะ จะปะรัง ภิกขะเว ภิกขุ สันตุฏโฐ โหติ, อิตะริตะระจีวะระปิณฑะปาตะเสนาสะนะคิลานะปัจจะยะเภสัชชะปะริกขาเรนะ. ยัมปิ ภิกขะเว ภิกขุ สันตุฏโฐ โหติ, อิตะริตะระจีวะระปิณฑะปาตะเสนาสะนะคิลานะปัจจะยะเภสัชชะปะริกขาเรนะ. อะยัมปิ ธัมโม นาถะกะระโณ.

Puna caparaṃ bhikkhave bhikkhu santuṭṭho hoti, itarītaracīvarapiṇḍapātasenāsanagilānapaccayabhesajjaparikkhārena. Yampi bhikkhave bhikkhu santuṭṭho hoti, itarītaracīvarapiṇḍapātasenāsanagilānapaccayabhesajjaparikkhārena. Ayampi dhammo nāthakaraṇo.

And further, monks, a monk is content with whatever robes, almsfood, lodging and medicinal requisites for the sick he receives. That a monk is content in this way — this too is a refuge-making quality.

ปุนะ จะปะรัง ภิกขะเว ภิกขุ สะติมา โหติ, ปะระเมนะ สะติเนปักเกนะ สะมันนาคะโต, จิระกะตัมปิ จิระภาสิตัมปิ สะริตา อะนุสสะริตา, ยัมปิ ภิกขะเว ภิกขุ สะติมา โหติ, ปะระเมนะ สะติเนปักเกนะ สะมันนาคะโต, จิระกะตัมปิ จิระภาสิตัมปิ สะริตา อะนุสสะริตา, อะยัมปิ ธัมโม นาถะกะระโณ.

Puna caparaṃ bhikkhave bhikkhu satimā hoti, paramena satinepakkena samannāgato, cirakatampi cirabhāsitampi saritā anussaritā, yampi bhikkhave bhikkhu satimā hoti, paramena satinepakkena samannāgato, cirakatampi cirabhāsitampi saritā anussaritā, ayampi dhammo nāthakaraṇo.

And further, monks, a monk is mindful, possessed of the highest mindfulness and discretion, one who remembers and recollects what was done and said long ago. That a monk is mindful in this way — this too is a refuge-making quality.

ปุนะ จะปะรัง ภิกขะเว ภิกขุ ปัญญะวา โหติ, อุทะยัตถะคามินิยา ปัญญายะ สะมันนาคะโต, อะริยายะ นิพเพธิกายะ สัมมาทุกขักขะยะคามินิยา, ยัมปิ ภิกขะเว ภิกขุ ปัญญะวา โหติ, อุทะยัตถะคามินิยา ปัญญายะ สะมันนาคะโต, อะริยายะ นิพเพธิกายะ สัมมาทุกขักขะยะคามินิยา, อะยัมปิ ธัมโม นาถะกะระโณ.

Puna caparaṃ bhikkhave bhikkhu paññavā hoti, udayatthagāminiyā paññāya samannāgato, ariyāya nibbedhikāya sammādukkhakkhayagāminiyā, yampi bhikkhave bhikkhu paññavā hoti, udayatthagāminiyā paññāya samannāgato, ariyāya nibbedhikāya sammādukkhakkhayagāminiyā, ayampi dhammo nāthakaraṇo.

And further, monks, a monk is wise, possessed of the wisdom that sees rise and fall — noble, penetrating, leading to the complete destruction of suffering. That a monk is wise in this way — this too is a refuge-making quality.

สะนาถา ภิกขะเว วิหะระถะ มา อะนาถา, ทุกขัง ภิกขะเว อะนาโถ วิหะระติ, อิเม โข ภิกขะเว ทะสะ นาถะกะระณา ธัมมาติ.

Sanāthā bhikkhave viharatha mā anāthā, dukkhaṃ bhikkhave anātho viharati, ime kho bhikkhave dasa nāthakaraṇā dhammāti.

Dwell as those who have a refuge, monks, not as those without one. One without a refuge, monks, dwells in suffering. These, monks, are the ten refuge-making qualities.

อิทะมะโวจะ ภะคะวา. อัตตะมะนา เต ภิกขู ภะคะวะโต ภาสิตัง อะภินันทุนติ.

Idamavoca bhagavā. Attamanā te bhikkhū bhagavato bhāsitaṃ abhinanduntī.

This is what the Blessed One said. Gladdened, those monks delighted in the Blessed One's words.
