มุทิตาสะหะคะเตนะ เจตะสา เอกัง ทิสัง ผะริต๎วา วิหะระติ, ตะถา ทุติยัง ตะถา ตะติยัง ตะถา จะตุตถัง. อิติ อุทธะมะโธ ติริยัง สัพพะธิ สัพพัตตะตายะ สัพพาวันตัง โลกัง, มุทิตาสะหะคะเตนะ เจตะสา วิปุเลนะ มะหัคคะเตนะ อัปปะมาเณนะ อะเวเรนะ อัพ๎ยาปัชเฌนะ ผะริต๎วา วิหะระติ.

Muditāsahagatena cetasā ekaṃ disaṃ pharitvā viharati, tathā dutiyaṃ tathā tatiyaṃ tathā catutthaṃ. Iti uddhamadho tiriyaṃ sabbadhi sabbattatāya sabbāvantaṃ lokaṃ, muditāsahagatena cetasā vipulena mahaggatena appamāṇena averena abyāpajjhena pharitvā viharati.

He dwells pervading one direction with a heart imbued with gladness, likewise the second, the third and the fourth; so above, below, across, everywhere, to all as to himself, he dwells pervading the whole world with a heart imbued with gladness — abundant, exalted, measureless, without hostility, without ill will.

อุเปกขาสะหะคะเตนะ เจตะสา เอกัง ทิสัง ผะริต๎วา วิหะระติ. ตะถา ทุติยัง ตะถา ตะติยัง ตะถา จะตุตถัง. อิติ อุทธะมะโธ ติริยัง สัพพะธิ สัพพัตตะตายะ สัพพาวันตัง โลกัง, อุเปกขาสะหะคะเตนะ เจตะสา วิปุเลนะ มะหัคคะเตนะ อัปปะมาเณนะ อะเวเรนะ อัพ๎ยาปัชเฌนะ ผะริต๎วา วิหะระติ.

Upekkhāsahagatena cetasā ekaṃ disaṃ pharitvā viharati. Tathā dutiyaṃ tathā tatiyaṃ tathā catutthaṃ. Iti uddhamadho tiriyaṃ sabbadhi sabbattatāya sabbāvantaṃ lokaṃ, upekkhāsahagatena cetasā vipulena mahaggatena appamāṇena averena abyāpajjhena pharitvā viharati.

He dwells pervading one direction with a heart imbued with equanimity, likewise the second, the third and the fourth; so above, below, across, everywhere, to all as to himself, he dwells pervading the whole world with a heart imbued with equanimity — abundant, exalted, measureless, without hostility, without ill will.

อิมา โข เตนะ ภะคะวะตา ชานะตา ปัสสะตา อะระหะตา สัมมาสัมพุทเธนะ, จะตัสโส อัปปะมัญญาโย โย สัมมะทักขาตาติ.

Imā kho tena bhagavatā jānatā passatā arahatā sammāsambuddhena, catasso appamaññāyo yo sammadakkhātāti.

These are the four immeasurables rightly proclaimed by the Blessed One who knows and sees, the Arahant, the Perfectly Awakened One.

ยัง เว นิพพานะญาณัสสะ ญาณัง ปุพเพ ปะวัตตะเต.

Yaṃ ve nibbānañāṇassa ñāṇaṃ pubbe pavattate.

The knowledge that arises before the knowledge of Nibbana —

ตัสเสวะ วิสะยีภูตา ยายัง ธัมมะนิยามะตา

Tasseva visayībhūtā yāyaṃ dhammaniyāmatā

that very lawfulness of things which is its object,

อะนิจจะตา ทุกขะตา จะ สัพเพสัง จะ อะนัตตะตา

Aniccatā dukkhatā ca sabbesaṃ ca anattatā

impermanence, suffering, and the not-self of all things:

ตัสสา ปะกาสะกัง สุตตัง ยัง สัมพุทเธนะ ภาสิตัง.

Tassā pakāsakaṃ suttaṃ yaṃ sambuddhena bhāsitaṃ.

the discourse that makes it known, spoken by the Awakened One.

สาธูนัง ญาณะจาเรนะ ยะถา พุทเธนะ เทสิตัง

Sādhūnaṃ ñāṇacārena yathā buddhena desitaṃ

For the good, by the course of knowledge, as the Buddha taught it,

โยนิโส ปะฏิปัต๎ยัตถัง ตัง สุตตันตัง ภะณามะ เส.

Yoniso paṭipatyatthaṃ taṃ suttantaṃ bhaṇāma se.

and for the sake of wise practice — let us recite that discourse.

เอวัมเม สุตัง. เอกัง สะมะยัง ภะคะวา สาวัตถิยัง วิหะระติ เชตะวะเน อะนาถะปิณฑิกัสสะ อาราเม. ตัตระ โข ภะคะวา ภิกขู อามันเตสิ ภิกขะโวติ. ภะทันเตติ เต ภิกขู ภะคะวะโต ปัจจัสโสสุง. ภะคะวา เอตะทะโวจะ.

Evamme sutaṃ. Ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā sāvatthiyaṃ viharati jetavane anāthapiṇḍikassa ārāme. Tatra kho bhagavā bhikkhū āmantesi bhikkhavoti. Bhadanteti te bhikkhū bhagavato paccassosuṃ. Bhagavā etadavoca.

Thus have I heard. At one time the Blessed One was staying near Savatthi, in Jeta's Grove, Anathapindika's park. There he addressed the monks: 'Monks.' 'Venerable sir,' they replied, and the Blessed One said this.

อุปปาทา วา ภิกขะเว ตะถาคะตานัง อะนุปปาทา วา ตะถาคะตานัง, ฐิตา วะ สา ธาตุ ธัมมัฏฐิตะตา ธัมมะนิยามะตา สัพเพ สังขารา อะนิจจาติ. ตัง ตะถาคะโต อะภิสัมพุชฌะติ อะภิสะเมติ, อะภิสัมพุชฌิต๎วา อะภิสะเมต๎วา อาจิกขะติ เทเสติ, ปัญญะเปติ ปัฏฐะเปติ, วิวะระติ วิภะชะติ อุตตานีกะโรติ สัพเพ สังขารา อะนิจจาติ.

Uppādā vā bhikkhave tathāgatānaṃ anuppādā vā tathāgatānaṃ, ṭhitā va sā dhātu dhammaṭṭhitatā dhammaniyāmatā sabbe saṅkhārā aniccāti. Taṃ tathāgato abhisambujjhati abhisameti, abhisambujjhitvā abhisametvā ācikkhati deseti, paññapeti paṭṭhapeti, vivarati vibhajati uttānīkaroti sabbe saṅkhārā aniccāti.

Whether Tathagatas arise or do not arise, monks, that element stands: the stableness of things, the lawfulness of things — that all formations are impermanent. That a Tathagata awakens to and penetrates; and having awakened to and penetrated it, he announces it, teaches it, makes it known, establishes it, discloses it, analyses it, makes it plain: that all formations are impermanent.
