na sūpaṃ vā byañjanaṃ vā odanena paṭicchādessāmi bhiyyokamyataṃ upādāyāti sikkhā karaṇīyā.

นะ สูปัง วา โอทะนัง วา อะคิลาโน อัตตะโน อัตถายะ วิญญาเปต๎วา ภุญชิสสามีติ สิกขา กะระณียา.

na sūpaṃ vā odanaṃ vā agilāno attano atthāya viññāpetvā bhuñjissāmīti sikkhā karaṇīyā.

'I, not being ill, will not eat curry or rice having asked for it for myself': this is a training to be observed.

นะ อุชฌานะสัญญี ปะเรสัง ปัตตัง โอโลเกสสามีติ สิกขา กะระณียา.

na ujjhānasaññī paresaṃ pattaṃ olokessāmīti sikkhā karaṇīyā.

'I will not look at others' bowls finding fault': this is a training to be observed.

นาติมะหันตัง กะวะฬัง กะริสสามีติ สิกขา กะระณียา.

nātimahantaṃ kabaḷaṃ karissāmīti sikkhā karaṇīyā.

'I will not make too large a mouthful': this is a training to be observed.

ปะริมัณฑะลัง อาโลปัง กะริสสามีติ สิกขา กะระณียา.
