นะ สะยะนะคะตัสสะ อะคิลานัสสะ ธัมมัง เทเสสสามีติ สิกขา กะระณียา.

na sayanagatassa agilānassa dhammaṃ desessāmīti sikkhā karaṇīyā.

'I will not teach Dhamma to someone who is not ill and who is lying down': this is a training to be observed.

นะ ปัลลัตถิกายะ นิสินนัสสะ อะคิลานัสสะ ธัมมัง เทเสสสามีติ สิกขา กะระณียา.

na pallatthikāya nisinnassa agilānassa dhammaṃ desessāmīti sikkhā karaṇīyā.

'I will not teach Dhamma to someone who is not ill and who is sitting clasping the knees': this is a training to be observed.

นะ เวฐิตะสีสัสสะ อะคิลานัสสะ ธัมมัง เทเสสสามีติ สิกขา กะระณียา.

na veṭhitasīsassa agilānassa dhammaṃ desessāmīti sikkhā karaṇīyā.

'I will not teach Dhamma to someone who is not ill and who is with the head wrapped': this is a training to be observed.

นะ โอคุณฐิตะสีสัสสะ อะคิลานัสสะ ธัมมัง เทเสสสามีติ สิกขา กะระณียา.

na oguṇṭhitasīsassa agilānassa dhammaṃ desessāmīti sikkhā karaṇīyā.

'I will not teach Dhamma to someone who is not ill and who is with the head covered': this is a training to be observed.

นะ ฉะมายัง นิสีทิต๎วา อาสะเน นิสินนัสสะ อะคิลานัสสะ ธัมมัง เทเสสสามีติ สิกขา กะระณียา.

na chamāyaṃ nisīditvā āsane nisinnassa agilānassa dhammaṃ desessāmīti sikkhā karaṇīyā.

'I will not, sitting on the ground, teach Dhamma to someone who is not ill and is sitting on a seat': this is a training to be observed.

นะ นีเจ อาสะเน นิสีทิต๎วา อุจเจ อาสะเน นิสินนัสสะ อะคิลานัสสะ ธัมมัง เทเสสสามีติ สิกขา กะระณียา.

na nīce āsane nisīditvā ucce āsane nisinnassa agilānassa dhammaṃ desessāmīti sikkhā karaṇīyā.

'I will not, sitting on a low seat, teach Dhamma to someone who is not ill and is sitting on a high seat': this is a training to be observed.

นะ ฐิโต นิสินนัสสะ อะคิลานัสสะ ธัมมัง เทเสสสามีติ สิกขา กะระณียา.

na ṭhito nisinnassa agilānassa dhammaṃ desessāmīti sikkhā karaṇīyā.

'I will not, standing, teach Dhamma to someone who is not ill and is sitting': this is a training to be observed.

นะ ปัจฉะโต คัจฉันโต ปุระโต คัจฉันตัสสะ อะคิลานัสสะ ธัมมัง เทเสสสามีติ สิกขา กะระณียา.

na pacchato gacchanto purato gacchantassa agilānassa dhammaṃ desessāmīti sikkhā karaṇīyā.

'I will not, walking behind, teach Dhamma to someone who is not ill and is walking in front': this is a training to be observed.

นะ อุปปะเถนะ คัจฉันโต ปะเถนะ คัจฉันตัสสะ อะคิลานัสสะ ธัมมัง เทเสสสามีติ สิกขา กะระณียา.

na uppathena gacchanto pathena gacchantassa agilānassa dhammaṃ desessāmīti sikkhā karaṇīyā.

'I will not, walking off the path, teach Dhamma to someone who is not ill and is walking on the path': this is a training to be observed.

นะ ฐิโต อะคิลาโน อุจจารัง วา ปัสสาวัง วา กะริสสามีติ สิกขา กะระณียา.

na ṭhito agilāno uccāraṃ vā passāvaṃ vā karissāmīti sikkhā karaṇīyā.

'I, not being ill, will not defecate or urinate standing': this is a training to be observed.

นะ หะริเต อะคิลาโน อุจจารัง วา ปัสสาวัง วา เขฬัง วา กะริสสามีติ สิกขา กะระณียา.

na harite agilāno uccāraṃ vā passāvaṃ vā kheḷaṃ vā karissāmīti sikkhā karaṇīyā.

'I, not being ill, will not defecate, urinate or spit on living greenery': this is a training to be observed.

นะ อุทะเก อะคิลาโน อุจจารัง วา ปัสสาวัง วา เขฬัง วา กะริสสามีติ สิกขา กะระณียา.

na udake agilāno uccāraṃ vā passāvaṃ vā kheḷaṃ vā karissāmīti sikkhā karaṇīyā.

'I, not being ill, will not defecate, urinate or spit in water': this is a training to be observed.
