มานุสสิกา จะ สัมปัตติ เทวะโลเก จะ ยา ระติ

mānussikā ca sampatti devaloke ca yā rati

Human good fortune, and whatever delight there is in the world of the gods,

ยา จะ นิพพานะสัมปัตติ สัพพะเมเตนะ ลัพภะติ.

yā ca nibbānasampatti sabbametena labbhati.

and the attainment of Nibbāna itself — all of it is obtained by this.

มิตตะสัมปะทะมาคัมมะ โยนิโส เจ ปะยุญชะโต

mittasampadamāgamma yoniso ce payuñjato

Coming upon the blessing of good friends, if one applies oneself wisely,

วิชชาวิมุตติวะสีภาโว สัพพะเมเตนะ ลัพภะติ.

vijjāvimuttivasībhāvo sabbametena labbhati.

mastery in knowledge and release — all of it is obtained by this.

ปะฏิสัมภิทา วิโมกขา จะ ยา จะ สาวะกะปาระมี

paṭisambhidā vimokkhā ca yā ca sāvakapāramī

The analytical knowledges, the liberations, and the perfection of a disciple,

ปัจเจกะโพธิ พุทธะภูมิ สัพพะเมเตนะ ลัพภะติ.

paccekabodhi buddhabhūmi sabbametena labbhati.

solitary awakening, and the ground of a Buddha — all of it is obtained by this.

เอวัง มะหัตถิกา เอสา ยะทิทัง ปุญญะสัมปะทา

evaṃ mahatthikā esā yadidaṃ puññasampadā

So greatly profitable is this, the blessing of merit;

ตัส๎มา ธีรา ปะสังสันติ ปัณฑิตา กะตะปุญญะตันติ.

tasmā dhīrā pasaṃsanti paṇḍitā katapuññatanti.

and therefore the steadfast and the wise praise the making of merit.

เย จะ อะตีตา สัมพุทธา เย จะ พุทธา อะนาคะตา

ye ca atītā sambuddhā ye ca buddhā anāgatā

Those fully awakened ones who have been, and those Buddhas yet to come,

โย เจตะระหิ สัมพุทโธ พะหุนนัง โสกะนาสะโน.

yo cetarahi sambuddho bahunnaṃ sokanāsano.

and he who is fully awakened now, destroyer of the sorrow of many —

สัพเพ สัทธัมมะคะรุโน วิหะริงสุ วิหาติ จะ

sabbe saddhammagaruno vihariṃsu vihāti ca

all of them dwelt, and dwell, revering the true Dhamma;

อะถาปิ วิหะริสสันติ เอสา พุทธานะ ธัมมะตา.

athāpi viharissanti esā buddhāna dhammatā.

and so too they will dwell. This is the nature of Buddhas.

ตัส๎มา หิ อัตตะกาเมนะ มะหัตตะมะภิกังขะตา

tasmā hi attakāmena mahattamabhikaṅkhatā

Therefore one who loves himself, who aspires to greatness,

สัทธัมโม คะรุกาตัพโพ สะรัง พุทธานะ สาสะนัง.

saddhammo garukātabbo saraṃ buddhāna sāsanaṃ.

should revere the true Dhamma, remembering the teaching of the Buddhas.

ทุททะทัง ทะทะมานานัง ทุกกะรัง กัมมะกุพพะตัง

duddadaṃ dadamānānaṃ dukkaraṃ kammakubbataṃ

Of those who give what is hard to give, who do what is hard to do,

อะสันโต นานุกุพพันติ สะตัง ธัมโม ทุรันวะโย.

asanto nānukubbanti sataṃ dhammo duranvayo.

the bad do not follow suit; the way of the good is hard to follow.

ตัส๎มา สะตัญจะ อะสะตัญจะ นานา โหติ อิโต คะติ

tasmā satañca asatañca nānā hoti ito gati

And so the destination from here differs for the good and for the bad:

อะสันโต นิระยัง ยันติ สันโต สัคคะปะรายะนา.

asanto nirayaṃ yanti santo saggaparāyanā.

the bad go to hell; the good have heaven as their destination.

นะ หิ ธัมโม อะธัมโม จะ อุโภ จะ สะมะวิปากิโน

na hi dhammo adhammo ca ubho ca samavipākino

For Dhamma and what is against Dhamma do not ripen alike:

อะธัมโม นิระยัง เนติ, ธัมโม ปาเปติ สุคะติง.

adhammo nirayaṃ neti, dhammo pāpeti sugatiṃ.

what is against Dhamma leads to hell; Dhamma brings one to a good destination.

ธัมโม หะเว รักขะติ ธัมมะจาริง

dhammo have rakkhati dhammacāriṃ

Dhamma indeed protects the one who lives by Dhamma;

ธัมโม สุจิณโณ สุขะมาวะหาติ.

dhammo suciṇṇo sukhamāvahāti.

Dhamma well practised brings happiness.
