คำอาราธนาแสดงธรรมอย่างพิสดารนี้ นิยมใช้ในวันธรรมสวนะ คำว่า ปัณณะระสี ในประโยคว่า ปัณณะระสี อะยันทานิ นั้น สำหรับวันดิถี 15 ค่ำ ถ้าเป็น 14 ค่ำ ให้เปลี่ยนเป็น จาตุททะสี อะยันทานิ ถ้าเป็น 8 ค่ำ ให้เปลี่ยนเป็น อัฏฐะมี โข อะยันทานิ. This elaborate invitation to teach the Dhamma is customarily used on the observance day. The word ปัณณะระสี in the line ปัณณะระสี อะยันทานิ is for the fifteenth day of the moon; if it is the fourteenth, change it to จาตุททะสี อะยันทานิ, and if the eighth, to อัฏฐะมี โข อะยันทานิ.

อะนิจจา วะตะ สังขารา อุปปาทะวะยะธัมมิโน
Aniccā vata saṅkhārā uppādavayadhammino
Impermanent, alas, are formations, of the nature to arise and pass away.
อุปปัชชิต๎วา นิรุชฌันติ เตสัง วูปะสะโม สุโข.
Uppajjitvā nirujjhanti tesaṃ vūpasamo sukho.
Having arisen, they cease; their stilling is happiness.
แบบธรรมยุต
The Dhammayut form
อะนิจจา วะตะ สังขารา อุปปาทะวะยะธัมมิโน

Before long, alas, this body will lie upon the earth,

Venerable sirs, a transgression has overcome us,
ยะถาพาเล ยะถามุฬเห ยะถาอะกุสะเล,
yathābāle yathāmuḷhe yathāakusale,
as fools, as deluded, as unskilful,
เย มะยัง ภันเต ชาติโต ปัฏฐายะ ปะมาทัง วา อาคัมมะ,
ye mayaṃ bhante jātito paṭṭhāya pamādaṃ vā āgamma,
in that we, venerable sirs, from birth onwards, having come under the sway of heedlessness,
อะโยนิโสมะนะสิการัง วา อาคัมมะ,
ayonisomanasikāraṃ vā āgamma,
or having come under the sway of unwise attention,
พุทเธ วา ธัมเม วา สังเฆ วา อะคาระวัง อะกะริมหา,
buddhe vā dhamme vā saṅghe vā agāravaṃ akarimhā,
have shown disrespect towards the Buddha, or the Dhamma, or the Saṅgha,
กาเยนะ วา วาจายะ วา มะนะสา วา,
kāyena vā vācāya vā manasā vā,
by body, by speech, or by mind,
สัมมุขาปิ ปะรัมมุขาปิ,
sammukhāpi parammukhāpi,
whether face to face or out of sight —
เตสัง โน ภันเต,
tesaṃ no bhante,
of these, venerable sirs,
อัจจะยัง อัจจะยะโต ปะฏิคคัณหาตุ อายะติง สังวะรายะ,
accayaṃ accayato paṭiggaṇhātu āyatiṃ saṃvarāya,
