ก็มักใช้สวดอย่างย่อ แล้วสวดถวายพรพระต่อไปตามควรแก่เวลา ถ้ามีเวลาน้อยมากก็สวดเจ็ดตำนานแต่ตอนต้น แล้วสวดถวายพรพระต่อเลยดังนี้

then the short form is usually chanted, followed by the blessing of the Buddha as time allows. If time is very short, only the opening of the Seven Tamnan is chanted, and the blessing of the Buddha follows straight on, thus:

เมื่อทายกอาราธนาพระปริตรจบแล้ว พระภิกษุรูปหนึ่งตั้งพัดขัดชุมนุมเทวดาขึ้น ผะริต์วานะ เมตตัง สะเมตตา ฯเปฯ ธัมมัสสะวะนะกาโล อะยัมภะทันตา วางพัดไว้แล้ว ประธานนำสวดดังนี้

When the layman has finished requesting the parittas, one monk raises his fan and chants the introduction assembling the devas, pharitvāna mettaṃ sametā … ending dhammassavanakālo ayambhadantā; then he sets the fan down and the one presiding leads the chanting thus:

นะมะการะปาฐะ คือ นะโม 3 จบ

The homage passage, that is the namo three times.

สะระณะคะมะนะปาฐะ คือ พุทธัง สะระณัง คัจฉามิ ฯเปฯ ตะติยัมปิ พุทธัง สะระณัง คัจฉามิ.

The going-for-refuge passage, buddhaṃ saraṇaṃ gacchāmi … tatiyampi buddhaṃ saraṇaṃ gacchāmi.

นะมะการะสิทธิคาถา คือ โย จักขุมา โมหะมะลาปะกัฏโฐ ฯเปฯ สัพพันตะรายา จะ วินาสะเมนตุ.

The Namakārasiddhi verses, yo cakkhumā mohamalāpakaṭṭho … sabbantarāyā ca vināsamentu.

นะโมการะอัฏฐะกะคาถา คือ นะโม อะระหะโต สัมมาสัมพุทธัสสะ ฯเปฯ นะโมการัสสะ เตเชนะ วิธิมหิ โหมิ เตชะวา.

The Namokāra-aṭṭhaka verses, namo arahato sammāsambuddhassa … namokārassa tejena vidhimhi homi tejavā.

มังคะละสุตตะ ขึ้น อะเสวะนา จะ พาลานัง ฯเปฯ ตันเตสัง มังคะละมุตตะมันติ.

The Maṅgala Sutta, asevanā ca bālānaṃ … tantesaṃ maṅgalamuttamanti.

ระตะนะสุตตะ ขึ้น ยังกิญจิ วิตตัง อิธะ วา หุรัง วา ฯเปฯ เย สุปปะยุตตา มะนะสา ทัฬเหนะ ฯเปฯ อิทัมปิ สังเฆ ระตะนัง ปะณีตัง เอเตนะ สัจเจนะ สุวัตถิ โหตุ แล้วข้ามไปสวด ขีณัง ปุราณัง นะวัง นัตถิ สัมภะวัง ฯเปฯ เอเตนะ สัจเจนะ สุวัตถิ โหตุ เริ่มหยดเทียนน้ำมนต์ที่ ขีณัง ปุราณัง ฯเปฯ พอสวดถึง นิพพันติ ธีรา ยะถายัมปะทีโป ให้จุ่มเทียนลงที่น้ำมนต์พร้อมๆ กับคำว่า นิพพันติ.

The Ratana Sutta, yaṃ kiñci vittaṃ idha vā huraṃ vā … then skipping to khīṇaṃ purāṇaṃ navaṃ natthi sambhavaṃ …. Begin dripping the candle into the lustral water at khīṇaṃ purāṇaṃ …, and when the chanting reaches nibbanti dhīrā yathāyampadīpo, dip the candle into the water exactly together with the word nibbanti.

กะระณียะเมตตะสุตตะ ขึ้น เมตตัญจะ สัพพะโลกัส์มิง ฯเปฯ นะ หิ ชาตุ คัพภะเสยยัง ปุนะเรตีติ.

The Karaṇīyametta Sutta, mettañca sabbalokasmiṃ … na hi jātu gabbhaseyyaṃ punaretīti.

ขันธะปะริตตะ ขึ้น อัปปะมาโณ พุทโธ ฯเปฯ นะโม สัตตันนัง สัมมาสัมพุทธานัง.

The Khandha Paritta, appamāṇo buddho … namo sattannaṃ sammāsambuddhānaṃ.

สวดถวายพรพระต่อ ขึ้น อิติปิ โส ภะคะวา ฯเปฯ อะนุตตะรัง ปุญญักเขตตัง โลกัสสาติ.

Continue with the blessing of the Buddha, itipi so bhagavā … anuttaraṃ puññakkhettaṃ lokassāti.

พาหุง สะหัสสะมะภินิมมิตะสาวุธันตัง ฯเปฯ โมกขัง สุขัง อะธิคะเมยยะ

Bāhuṃ sahassamabhinimmitasāvudhantaṃ … mokkhaṃ sukhaṃ adhigameyya
