The Closing of the Navagraha Chanting

โหรกล่าวสรุปพระเคราะห์ให้พรเจ้าภาพแล้ว พระสวดมงคลจักรวาฬใหญ่ ขึ้น สิริธิติมะติเตโชชะยะสิทธิมะหิทธิมะหาคุณาปะริมิตะปุญญาธิการัสสะ ฯเปฯ อะรักขะกา เทวะตา สะทา ตุมเห อะนุรักขันตุ

The astrologer sums up the planets and gives the blessing to the host; then the monks chant the Greater Maṅgala Cakkavāḷa, beginning siridhitimatitejojayasiddhimahiddhimahāguṇāparimitapuññādhikārassa … ending arakkhakā devatā sadā tumhe anurakkhantu.

สวด ภะวะตุ สัพพะมังคะลัง ฯเปฯ สะทา โสตถี ภะวันตุ เต.

Chant bhavatu sabbamaṅgalaṃ … sadā sotthī bhavantu te.

สวด นักขัตตะยักขะภูตานัง ฯเปฯ หันต์วา เตสัง อุปัททะเว.

Chant nakkhattayakkhabhūtānaṃ … hantvā tesaṃ upaddave.

ตามธรรมเนียมในงานพิธีที่มีการสวดมนต์เย็นและฉันเช้าหรือฉันเพลนั้น สำหรับระเบียบสวดมนต์เย็น ได้อธิบายมาแล้วทั้งงานมงคลและงานอวมงคล ส่วนเวลาก่อนแต่จะฉันเช้าหรือฉันเพลในวันรุ่งขึ้นนั้น มีระเบียบที่จะปฏิบัติดังนี้

According to the custom at ceremonies where there is evening chanting and a morning or midday meal: the procedure for the evening chanting has already been explained, for both auspicious and inauspicious occasions. As for the time before the morning or midday meal on the following day, the procedure to be followed is this:

ก่อนแต่จะฉันภัตตาหารนั้น มีธรรมเนียมต้องสวดถวายพรพระเสียก่อน คือเมื่อได้เวลาแล้ว เจ้าภาพงานจุดธูปเทียนบูชาพระรัตนตรัยแล้วสมาทานศีล ต่อแต่นั้นพระสงฆ์เริ่มสวดถวายพรพระ ไม่ต้องอาราธนาพระปริตร ดังนี้

Before the meal it is the custom to chant the blessing of the Buddha first. That is: when the time has come, the host of the occasion lights incense and candles in homage to the Triple Gem and takes the precepts; after that the monks begin the blessing of the Buddha. There is no need to request the parittas. Thus:

สวด นะมะการะปาฐะ คือ นะโม 3 จบ

Chant the homage passage, that is, the namo three times.

สวด พุทธคุณ ธรรมคุณ สังฆคุณ ขึ้น อิติปิ โส ภะคะวา ฯเปฯ อะนุตตะรัง ปัญญักเขตตัง โลกัสสาติ.

Chant the virtues of the Buddha, the Dhamma and the Saṅgha, beginning itipi so bhagavā … ending anuttaraṃ puññakkhettaṃ lokassāti.

สวด ชะยะมังคะละคาถา ขึ้น พาหุง สะหัสสะมะภินิมมิตะสาวุธันตัง ฯเปฯ โมกขัง สุขัง อะธิคะเมยยะ นะโร สะปัญโญ.

Chant the Jayamaṅgala verses, beginning bāhuṃ sahassamabhinimmitasāvudhantaṃ … ending mokkhaṃ sukhaṃ adhigameyya naro sapañño.
