are several. Chant it three times, then chant the Lesser Maṅgala Cakkavāḷa either in the full form or the abbreviated one, beginning sabbabuddhānubhāvena …, and chant bhavatu sabbamaṅgalaṃ straight on without stopping and starting again.

ถ้าเป็นงานอวมงคล เมื่อสวด ยะถา- สัพพี- แล้วสวด ติโรกุฑฑะกัณฑะคาถา ขึ้นที่ อะทาสิ เม อะกาสิ เม ฯเปฯ บ้าง ที่ อะยัญจะ โข ทักขิณา ทินนา ฯเปฯ บ้าง แล้วลงที่ ตุมเหหิ ปุญญัง ปะสุตัง อะนัปปะกันติ. ต่อจากนี้สวด ภะวะตุ สัพพะมังคะลัง ฯเปฯ สะทา โสตถี ภะวันตุ เต. ในขณะที่พระเถระผู้เป็นประธานเริ่มอนุโมทนาขึ้น ยะถา วาริวะหา ฯเปฯ นั้นให้เจ้าภาพกรวดน้ำแผ่กุศลให้บรรพบุรุษบุรพาจารย์ ตลอดถึงสรรพสัตว์ทั่วไป พอพระเถระว่าไปถึง มะณิ โชติระโส ยะถา ก็ให้กรวดน้ำหมดพอดี แล้วประนมมือฟังพระสวดอนุโมทนาจนจบแล้ว กราบ ๓ หน เป็นอันเสร็จพิธี.

If it is an inauspicious occasion, after chanting yathā- sabbī- chant the Tirokuḍḍa Kaṇḍa verses, beginning either at adāsi me akāsi me … or at ayañca kho dakkhiṇā dinnā …, and ending at tumhehi puññaṃ pasutaṃ anappakanti. After this chant bhavatu sabbamaṅgalaṃ … sadā sotthī bhavantu te. While the presiding elder begins the anumodanā, yathā vārivahā …, the host pours the water of dedication, spreading the merit to forebears and former teachers and to all beings; by the time the elder reaches maṇi jotiraso yathā the water should be exactly finished. Then, with palms together, listen to the monks chanting the anumodanā to its end, and bow three times. That completes the ceremony.

ยะถา วาริวะหา ปูรา ปะริปูเรนติ สาคะรัง,

Yathā vārivahā pūrā paripūrenti sāgaraṃ,

Just as rivers full of water fill the ocean,

เอวะเมวะ อิโต ทินนัง เปตานัง อุปะกัปปะติ,

Evameva ito dinnaṃ petānaṃ upakappati,

สัพพีติโย วิวัชชันตุ สัพพะโรโค วินัสสะตุ มา เต ภะวัตวันตะราโย สุขี ทีฆายุโก ภะวะ สัพพีติโย วิวัชชันตุ สัพพะโรโค วินัสสะตุ มา เต ภะวัตวันตะราโย สุขี ทีฆายุโก ภะวะ สัพพีติโย วิวัชชันตุ สัพพะโรโค วินัสสะตุ มา เต ภะวัตวันตะราโย สุขี ทีฆายุโก ภะวะ อะภิวาทะนะสีลิสสะ นิจจัง วุฑฒาปะจายิโน จัตตาโร ธัมมา วัฑฒันติ อายุ วัณโณ สุขัง พะลัง.

Sabbītiyo vivajjantu sabbarogo vinassatu mā te bhavatvantarāyo sukhī dīghāyuko bhava sabbītiyo vivajjantu sabbarogo vinassatu mā te bhavatvantarāyo sukhī dīghāyuko bhava sabbītiyo vivajjantu sabbarogo vinassatu mā te bhavatvantarāyo sukhī dīghāyuko bhava abhivādanasīlissa niccaṃ vuḍḍhāpacāyino cattāro dhammā vaḍḍhanti āyu vaṇṇo sukhaṃ balaṃ.

May all misfortunes be avoided, may all disease perish, may no danger befall you, may you be happy and long-lived — said three times over; and for one habitually respectful, ever honouring elders, four things increase: long life, beauty, happiness and strength.

ระตะนัตตะยานุภาเวนะ ระตะนัตตะยะเตชะสา ทุกขะโรคะภะยา เวรา โสกา สัตตุ จุปัททะวา อะเนกา อันตะรายาปิ วินัสสันตุ อะเสสะโต ชะยะสิทธิ ธะนัง ลาภัง โสตถิ ภาคยัง สุขัง พะลัง สิริ อายุ จะ วัณโณ จะ โภคัง วุฑฒี จะ ยะสะวา สะตะวัสสา จะ อายู จะ ชีวะสิทธิ ภะวันตุ เต.

Ratanattayānubhāvena ratanattayatejasā dukkharogabhayā verā sokā sattu cupaddavā anekā antarāyāpi vinassantu asesato jayasiddhi dhanaṃ lābhaṃ sotthi bhāgyaṃ sukhaṃ balaṃ siri āyu ca vaṇṇo ca bhogaṃ vuḍḍhī ca yasavā satavassā ca āyū ca jīvasiddhi bhavantu te.

By the power of the Triple Gem and by its majesty, may suffering, disease, fear, enmity, sorrow, foes and calamities, and the many dangers too, perish without remainder. May victory and success, wealth, gain, well-being, fortune, happiness, strength, splendour, long life and beauty, riches and increase and renown, a hundred years of life, and success in living, be yours.
