สัจฉิกิริยายะ.

Sacchikiriyāya.

for the realising of it.

ตัตถะ สีละปะริภาวิโต สะมาธิ มะหัปผะโล โหติ มะหานิสังโส

Tattha sīlaparibhāvito samādhi mahapphalo hoti mahānisaṃso

Therein concentration steeped in virtue is of great fruit and great benefit;

สะมาธิปะริภาวิตา ปัญญา มะหัปผะลา โหติ มะหานิสังสา

Samādhiparibhāvitā paññā mahapphalā hoti mahānisaṃsā

wisdom steeped in concentration is of great fruit and great benefit;

ปัญญาปะริภาวิตัง จิตตัง สัมมะเทวะ อาสะเวหิ วิมุจจะติ

Paññāparibhāvitaṃ cittaṃ sammadeva āsavehi vimuccati

the mind steeped in wisdom is rightly freed from the taints,

เสยยะถีทัง. กามาสะวา ภะวาสะวา อะวิชชาสะวา.

Seyyathīdaṃ. kāmāsavā bhavāsavā avijjāsavā.

that is: the taint of sensuality, the taint of being, the taint of ignorance.

ตัส๎มาติหะ เต (ถ้าหลายรูปเปลี่ยน เต เป็น โว) อิมัส๎มิง ตะถาคะตัปปะเวทิเต ธัมมะวินะเย,

Tasmātiha te imasmiṃ tathāgatappavedite dhammavinaye, …

Therefore in this Dhamma and Discipline made known by the Tathāgata the training in higher virtue, in higher mind and in higher wisdom should be undertaken respectfully.

สักกัจจัง อะธิสีละสิกขา สิกขิตัพพา,

Sakkaccaṃ adhisīlasikkhā sikkhitabbā,

Tattha appamādena sampādetabbaṃ.

Therein you should strive with diligence.

เมื่อผู้มุ่งอุปสมบทออกไปยืนข้างนอกเรียบร้อยแล้ว พระกรรมวาจาจารย์ (คู่สวด) จึงนั่งคุกเข่าประนมมือ กราบพระ 3 ครั้ง แล้วเปล่งคำนมัสการพระรัตนตรัยว่า

When the one seeking ordination has gone out and is standing ready outside, the kammavācā teachers (the pair who chant) kneel with palms together, bow three times, and pronounce the homage to the Triple Gem thus:

สมมตินาคชื่อ โอภาโส สมมติพระอุปัชฌายะชื่อ โสภะโณ

The candidate is taken to be named Obhāsa, and the preceptor Sobhaṇa.

สุณาตุ เม ภันเต สังโฆ,

Suṇātu me bhante saṅgho,

Let the Saṅgha, venerable sirs, hear me. If the Saṅgha is ready, I would instruct Obhāsa.

Āyasmato sobhaṇassa upasampadāpekkho,

อะหัง โอภาสัง อะนุสาเสยยัง.

สุณะสิ โอภาสะ,

Suṇasi obhāsa,

Listen, Obhāsa. This is the time for truth, the time for what is so. When they question you in the midst of the Saṅgha, if it is present say it is present; if absent, say it is absent. Do not be flustered, do not be embarrassed. They will question you thus: do you have afflictions of these kinds?

อะยันเต สัจจะกาโล ภูตะกาโล,

Ayante saccakālo bhūtakālo,
