ญัต๎วา ตะมัตถัง ภะคะวา ภิกขูนัญเญวะ สันติกา,
Ñatvā tamatthaṃ bhagavā bhikkhūnaññeva santikā,
The Blessed One, having learnt of that matter from the monks themselves,
อะนุญญาสิ ทัณฑะกัมมัง กาตุง ปัญจังคิกัสสะ จะ.
Anuññāsi daṇḍakammaṃ kātuṃ pañcaṅgikassa ca.
allowed a penalty to be imposed on one having the five factors;
สามะเณรานัง ทัณฑะกัมมะการะณังคัง ภะณามะ เส.
Sāmaṇerānaṃ daṇḍakammakāraṇaṅgaṃ bhaṇāma se.

สามเณรผู้เป็นหัวหน้าขึ้นต้นบทว่า อะนุญญาสิ โข นอกนั้นรับต่อ โส ภะคะวา ฯเปฯ พร้อมกันไป หยุดตามจุดลูกน้ำ ดังนี้. The senior sāmaṇera begins the passage with Anuññāsi kho, and the rest take it up from So bhagavā and so on, going on together, pausing at each comma, thus.

He allowed —
โส ภะคะวา,
So bhagavā,
that Blessed One —
ปัญจะหิ อังเคหิ สะมันนาคะตัสสะ สามะเณรัสสะ ทัณฑะกัมมัง กาตุง.
Pañcahi aṅgehi samannāgatassa sāmaṇerassa daṇḍakammaṃ kātuṃ.
that a penalty be imposed on a novice possessed of five factors.
กะตะเมหิ ปัญจะหิ,
Katamehi pañcahi,
Which five?
ภิกขูนัง อะลาภายะ ปะริสักกะติ,
Bhikkhūnaṃ alābhāya parisakkati,
He exerts himself for the monks' loss of gain,
ภิกขูนัง อะนัตถายะ ปะริสักกะติ,
Bhikkhūnaṃ anatthāya parisakkati,
he exerts himself for the monks' harm,
ภิกขูนัง อะนาวาสายะ ปะริสักกะติ,
Bhikkhūnaṃ anāvāsāya parisakkati,
he exerts himself to deprive the monks of a dwelling,
ภิกขู อักโกสะติ ปะริภาสะติ,
Bhikkhū akkosati paribhāsati,
he abuses and reviles the monks,
ภิกขู ภิกขูหิ เภเทติ,
Bhikkhū bhikkhūhi bhedeti,
he sets monks at variance with monks,
อะนุญญาสิ โข โส ภะคะวา,
Anuññāsi kho so bhagavā,
That Blessed One allowed
อิเมหิ ปัญจะหิ อังเคหิ สะมันนาคะตัสสะ สามะเณรัสสะ ทัณฑะกัมมัง กาตุนติ.

ต่อจากนี้ สวดพระสูตร หรือพระปริตร หรือปาฐะต่างๆ ตามที่กำหนดไว้วันละ 1 สูตร หรือ 1 ปริตร หรือ 1 ปาฐะ ตามควรดังที่เรียงลำดับไว้ท้ายระเบียบนี้ จนถึงบทสุดท้ายแล้วเวียนมาสวดตั้งต้นไปใหม่อีก From this point onward a sutta, a paritta or one of the various paṭhas is chanted, according to what is appointed for the day — one sutta, or one paritta, or one paṭha as is fitting, following the order set out at the end of these regulations; and when the last of them is reached, the cycle returns to the beginning and starts again.
การสวดพระสูตร หรือ พระปริตร หรือปาฐะต่างๆ นั้น บางครั้งสวดเป็นทำนองสังโยค บางครั้งสวดเป็นทำนองมคธ สุดแต่ผู้เป็นประธานจะนำสวด วิธีสวดทำนองมคธ สวดบทขัดเป็นทำนองสรภัญญะ ถ้ามีการสวดบทขัดแล้ว ประธานไม่ต้องกล่าวคำเชิญชวนคือ หันทะ มะยัง นำขึ้นต้นบทเลยทีเดียว แต่ถ้าไม่มีการสวดบทขัด ต้องกล่าวคำเชิญชวน เช่น เมื่อจะสวด ทะสะนาถะกะระณะธัมมะสุตตะ ประธานกล่าวเชิญชวนว่า หันทะ มะยัง ทะสะนาถะกะระณะธัมมะสุตตะ ประธานกล่าวเชิญชวนว่า As to the chanting of a sutta, a paritta or one of the various paṭhas: sometimes it is chanted in the saṅyoka manner and sometimes in the Magadha manner, according to how the presiding monk leads it. In the Magadha manner the introductory verse is chanted as sarabhañña. Where an introductory verse has been chanted, the presiding monk need not speak the words of invitation, that is Handa mayaṃ, but begins the passage directly. Where no introductory verse is chanted, the invitation must be spoken: thus, when the Dasanāthakaraṇadhammasutta is to be chanted, the presiding monk gives the invitation, saying Handa mayaṃ Dasanāthakaraṇadhammasutta, the presiding monk gives the invitation, saying
