นะโม โอมาต๎ยารัทธัสสะ ระตะนัตตะยัสสะ สาธุกัง

Namo omātyāraddhassa ratanattayassa sādhukaṃ

Homage, duly made, to the Triple Gem that is begun with the syllable oṃ;

นะโม โอมะกาตีตัสสะ ตัสสะ วัตถุตตะยัสสะปิ

Namo omakātītassa tassa vatthuttayassāpi

homage too to that threefold object, which has passed beyond all that is low;

นะโม การัปปะภาเวนะ วิคัจฉันตุ อุปัททะวา

Namo kārappabhāvena vigacchantu upaddavā

by the power of this homage, may misfortunes depart;

นะโม การานุภาเวนะ สุวัตถิ โหตุ สัพพะทา

Namo kārānubhāvena suvatthi hotu sabbadā

by the might of this homage, may there be well-being at all times;

นะโม การัสสะ เตเชนะ วิธิมหิ โหมิ เตชะวา.

Namo kārassa tejena vidhimhi homi tejavā.

by the power of this homage, may I be mighty in the undertaking.

เย สันตา สันตะจิตตา ติสะระณะสะระณา เอตถะ โลกันตะเร วา,

Ye santā santacittā tisaraṇasaraṇā ettha lokantare vā,

Those who are at peace, peaceful in mind, who have the Three Refuges as their refuge, whether here or in the space between the worlds,

ภุมมาภุมมา จะ เทวา คุณะคะณะคะหะณัพ๎ยาวะฏา สัพพะกาลัง,

Bhummābhummā ca devā guṇagaṇagahaṇabyāvaṭā sabbakālaṃ,

and the devas of the earth and above it, at all times engaged in taking up the whole mass of virtues,

เอเต อายันตุ เทวา วะระกะนะกะมะเย เมรุราเช วะสันโต

Ete āyantu devā varakanakamaye merurāje vasanto

may these devas come, dwelling on Meru the king, made of the finest gold,

สันโต สันโต สะเหตุง มุนิวะระวะจะนัง โสตุมัคคัง สะมัคคัง.

Santo santo sahetuṃ munivaravacanaṃ sotumaggaṃ samaggaṃ.

at peace, at peace, and together in harmony, to hear the supreme word of the excellent Sage.

สัพเพสุ จักกะวาเฬสุ ยักขา เทวา จะ พ๎รัห๎มุโน

Sabbesu cakkavāḷesu yakkhā devā ca brahmuno

In all the world-systems, the yakkhas, the devas and the brahmās —

ยัง อัมเหหิ กะตัง ปุญญัง สัพพะสัมปัตติสาธะกัง.

Yaṃ amhehi kataṃ puññaṃ sabbasampattisādhakaṃ.

whatever merit has been made by us, which brings about every attainment,

สัพเพ ตัง อะนุโมทิต๎วา สะมัคคา สาสะเน ระตา

Sabbe taṃ anumoditvā samaggā sāsane ratā

may they all rejoice in it, in harmony and delighting in the Teaching,

ปะมาทะระหิตา โหนตุ อารักขาสุ วิเสสะโต.

Pamādarahitā hontu ārakkhāsu visesato.

and may they be free of negligence, especially in giving protection.

สาสะนัสสะ จะ โลกัสสะ วุฑฒี ภะวะตุ สัพพะทา

Sāsanassa ca lokassa vuḍḍhī bhavatu sabbadā

May there always be growth for the Teaching and for the world;

สาสะนัมปิ จะ โลกัญจะ เทวา รักขันตุ สัพพะทา.

Sāsanampi ca lokañca devā rakkhantu sabbadā.

and may the devas always guard both the Teaching and the world.

สัทธิง โหนตุ สุขี สัพเพ ปะริวาเรหิ อัตตะโน

Saddhiṃ hontu sukhī sabbe parivārehi attano

May all be happy, together with their own retinues,

อะนีฆา สุมะนา โหนตุ สะหะ สัพเพหิ ญาติภิ.

Anīghā sumanā hontu saha sabbehi ñātibhi.

free from trouble and glad in mind, along with all their kin.

ยัญจะ ท๎วาทะสะ วัสสานิ จินตะยิงสุ สะเทวะกา

Yañca dvādasa vassāni cintayiṃsu sadevakā

That which, for twelve years, beings together with their devas pondered,

จิรัสสัง จินตะยันตาปิ เนวะ ชานิงสุ มังคะลัง.

Cirassaṃ cintayantāpi neva jāniṃsu maṅgalaṃ.

and though they pondered long, they never came to know what a blessing is.

จักกะวาฬะสะหัสเสสุ ทะสะสุ เยนะ ตัตตะกัง

Cakkavāḷasahassesu dasasu yena tattakaṃ

That over which, throughout ten thousand world-systems, for all that time

กาลัง โกลาหะลัง ชาตัง ยาวะ พ๎รัห๎มะนิเวสะนา.

Kālaṃ kolāhalaṃ jātaṃ yāva brahmanivesanā.

an uproar arose, reaching as far as the dwellings of the brahmās.

ยัง โลกะนาโถ เทเสสิ สัพพะปาปะวินาสะนัง

Yaṃ lokanātho desesi sabbapāpavināsanaṃ

That which the Refuge of the World taught, the destroyer of all evil,

ยัง สุต๎วา สัพพะทุกเขหิ มุจจันตาสังขิยา นะรา

Yaṃ sutvā sabbadukkhehi muccantāsaṅkhiyā narā

on hearing which countless people are freed from all suffering —

เอวะมาทิคุณูเปตัง มังคะลันตัมภะณามะ เห.

Evamādiguṇūpetaṃ maṅgalantambhaṇāma he.

endowed with such qualities as these: that Maṅgala let us now recite.
